 上海市吴益民律师事务所是于2002年成立的上海市首批五家个人开业律师事务所之一。上海市公安局主办的《人民警察》、《东方剑》杂志社理事单位，最高人民检察院和上海市人民检察院联办的《检察风云》杂志社理事单位，上海市高级人民法院和上海市司法局联办的《法苑》杂志社理事单位。本所顾问、专职律师、律师助理、行政人员共十五人。
本所开业者吴益民律师，中国政法大学国际法学院在职法学博士同学会常务理事，复旦大学法律硕士同学会常务理事，上海对外贸易学院特聘教授,系中国商事仲裁培训中心第一期学员、首批注册律师，全国对外经济贸易行业首批国际商务师，上海市法学会会员，上海市杨浦区第十三届、十四届人大代表、内司委员，上海市杨浦区人民政府法律顾问，2004年度、2006年度上海市司法行政系统先进个人。在2009年11月3日“上海市纪念律师协会恢复三十年大会”上荣立三等功，并受到中共中央政治局委员、上海市委书记俞正声等上海市委、市政府领导接见。在诉讼业务领域，吴益民律师是上海市律师界首位成功办理最高人民检察院抗诉案（高检发民行抗字[1998]第3号）的执业律师，全国律师界唯一一起推翻最高人民法院判例[（2000）民抗字第10号]的承办律师。他曾办理的国际贸易、海事海商、项目融资、工程房地产、公司诉讼、合同纠纷等领域的仲裁、诉讼案件成功率高，具有丰富的办案经验。多次成功办理最高人民检察院抗诉案件及最高人民法院提审、再审案件是吴益民律师办理重大、疑难、复杂案件的一大特色。在刑事法律辩护领域，经过吴益民律师的工作，大部分被告人能够得到从轻或减轻判处。在非诉讼业务领域，吴益民律师曾为上海宝钢三期有关工程、上海人民广场综合改造项目、上海海洋水族馆项目、上海M9线松江段项目等一批重大项目提供过优质的法律服务。吴益民律师目前为数十家中、外企事业单位担任常年法律顾问。

As one of the first five private law firms registered at Shanghai, Shanghai Wu’s Law Firm is a director unit of 《People’s Police》Publishing House,《Procuratorial View》Publishing House, and《Legal》Publishing House.
President of the firm, Lawyer Wu Yimin, is one of the first graduates and registered lawyers from China Commercial Arbitration Training Center of CIETAC, one of the first certified international business executives in the foreign trade and economic field in China. Lawyer Wu is the first professional lawyer of Shanghai that had successfully helps his clientele to win a protest case before the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (1997), and the only lawyer of Chinese that had successfully helped his clientele to overturn the decision of the Supreme People’s Court (2002). Lawyer Wu has been participating in the litigation and arbitration of many significant cases involving international trade, shipping and insurance, financing, engineering and construction projects, etc. Lawyer Wu is widely recognized for his excellent expertise in the areas of international trade and engineering projects.
